Image converter: HEIC, WebP, AVIF, PNG, JPG and PDF

Turn an iPhone photo into a JPG, a PNG into WebP or a stack of scans into one PDF. Toolbox converts the files in your browser, so your images never leave your device.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use the image converter

  1. Drop one or more images, or choose them from your device.

  2. Choose the format to convert to and, for JPG, WebP, AVIF and JPEG XL, the quality.

  3. Download each file, all files as a ZIP or, for PDF, one document with every image.

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert HEIC photos from an iPhone?

Yes. Toolbox reads HEIC and HEIF photos in every modern browser and converts them to JPG, PNG or any other format here. The decoder is downloaded to your browser only when you open a HEIC file.

Which format should I choose?

JPG for photos that must open everywhere, PNG for screenshots and images with transparency, WebP or AVIF for small files on websites, and PDF to share or print. GIF has at most 256 colors, so photos get a fine dotted pattern (dithering).

Are my images uploaded?

No. Every conversion happens in your browser, also for HEIC, AVIF and JPEG XL: their converters are downloaded to your browser and run there.
